Baseball Recap: Bayonne Comes Up Short

Bayonne lost against Union City two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bees fell just short of the Soaring Eagles by a score of 9-8.

Bayonne has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Union City, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Bayonne will host Cranford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against St. Peter's Prep on the 17th.
