On Thursday Hunter Earl tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The effort marked the fewest earned runs Earl has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. For the season, he has an ERA of 1.56 over 9 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Earl and Jasper will venture away from home to square off against Sarcoxie at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Earl's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Eagles' three-game streak of wins on the road.
