Volleyball Game Preview: Christian Brothers Cadets vs. Mehlville Panthers

The Christian Brothers Cadets are taking a road trip to challenge the Mehlville Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Mehlville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Christian Brothers, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Christian Brothers made easy work of Chaminade and carried off a 3-0 win.

Christian Brothers walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Mehlville faced Howell Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Christian Brothers pushed their record up to 8-14-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mehlville, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14.

Christian Brothers was able to grind out a solid victory over Mehlville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
