Baseball Recap: Munroe Comes Up Short

Munroe lost against Freeport on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats lost 14-1 to the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Munroe has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Freeport, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Munroe will host Maclay at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Freeport, they will square off against Pensacola Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
