Mahtomedi is a perfect 3-0 against Johnson since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Mahtomedi's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Johnson has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

Mahtomedi had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Hill-Murray on Tuesday. The Zephyrs blew past the Pioneers 3-0.

Meanwhile, Johnson came up short against Minneapolis North on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Mahtomedi's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Mahtomedi took their victory against Johnson when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Zephyrs repeat their success, or do the Governors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
