Baseball Recap: Taft Tigers vs. Scio Loggers
There's no place like home for Taft, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Scio Loggers by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Taft also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Armando Fajardo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one run (which was unearned) on six hits.
At the plate, Evan Halferty was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Taft pushed their record up to 15-8 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Scio, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.
