Harnett Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Westover Wolverines a 5-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Westover with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Makayla Abbott (2), Peyton Black, Madison Zaino, and Mattie Robinson.

Harnett Central's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Westover, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harnett Central will challenge Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westover, they will face off against Western Harnett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
