Basketball Recap: Audubon Comes Up Short

Audubon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Underwood Eagles. The Wheelers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-48.

Audubon's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Underwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Audubon will face off against Treynor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Treynor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Audubon likes a good challenge. As for Underwood, they will take on Missouri Valley on Thursday. Underwood is facing Missouri Valley at the right time seeing as Missouri Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
