Softball Recap: Sandusky Takes a Loss

Sandusky came into this matchup off a tough eight-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Elyria Pioneers by a score of 11-9 on Monday. The Blue Streaks just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Akiyla Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Maijon Wiley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sandusky's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Elyria, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.
