Football Game Preview: Waterloo Cougars vs. Shoals Christian Flame

The Waterloo Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Shoals Christian Flame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shoals Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Waterloo, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Waterloo got the win against Phillips by a conclusive 28-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Shoals Christian was beaten by Hackleburg 50-20 on Friday.

Shoals Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Waterloo, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Waterloo took their victory against Shoals Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-14 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
