Basketball Recap: Howard Eagles vs. John Paul II Catholic Saints

The Howard Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to John Paul II Catholic on the road by a decisive 66-48 margin on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Howard has scored all season.

John Paul II Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Knight, who scored 16 points. Knight continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Kendrick, who scored 14 points.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for John Paul II Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.

Howard will take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. John Paul II Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
