Basketball Recap: Green Sea Floyds Takes a Loss

Green Sea Floyds lost against Carvers Bay back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Sea Floyds Trojans took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carvers Bay Bears. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carvers Bay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mekhi Bromell led the charge by going 7 of 13 en route to 17 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bromell a new career-high in points. Jamie Graham was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

Green Sea Floyds' loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Carvers Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Green Sea Floyds will be playing in front of their home fans against Hannah-Pamplico at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carvers Bay, they will head out to face off against Hemingway at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Carvers Bay will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
