Football Recap: Brendyn Jackson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Midlothian over Joshua + How To Watch

Midlothian fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Joshua on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Owls by a score of 23-21. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Owls are ranked 322nd).

Midlothian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brendyn Jackson, who picked up 50 receiving yards and two scores.

With the loss, Midlothian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Joshua, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
