Softball Game Preview: Kennett Eagles vs. Plymouth Bobcats

The Kennett Eagles will challenge the Plymouth Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kennett has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kennett lost 13-1 to Stark on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Plymouth, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past Hanover 27-6 on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Kennett's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Plymouth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Kennett took their victory against Plymouth in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 19-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
