Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pontiac). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 65-11 victory over the Oak Park Knights. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Germani Hall, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and ten steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Pontiac's points. Essence Thomas was another key player, putting up seven points and 14 rebounds.

Pontiac is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points over those games. As for Oak Park, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pontiac will square off against Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pontiac's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Cardinal Mooney Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Oak Park, they will challenge Saginaw United at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
