South Effingham had won ten straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 26-9 to make it 11. They came out on top against the Savannah Christian Raiders by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Raiders back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

South Effingham's offense was headlined by Morgan Stringer and Clara Vorel, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Leah Magana and her 21 assists. Finally, Vorel was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

As for Savannah Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-7. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in August.

Despite the loss, Savannah Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carinne Cason had nine assists and three digs.

South Effingham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bluffton on the 26th. As for Savannah Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Mount Vernon on the 26th.
