Central Cambria is a perfect 8-0 against Greater Johnstown since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Central Cambria came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Bellefonte, falling 5-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Central Cambria were already down 3-0.

Rocco Barra and Jonathan Rivera scored both of Central Cambria's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Greater Johnstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to Penns Valley Area. While losing is never fun, Greater Johnstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Penns Valley Area are ranked 232nd).

Greater Johnstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Central Cambria, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Central Cambria came out on top in a nail-biter against Greater Johnstown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
