Softball Recap: Clinton Arrows vs. Pearl Pirates
Clinton stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pearl Pirates with a sharp 9-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for Clinton who now have eight in a row.
Clinton got a massive performance out of Tyler Brown, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Cooley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On Pearl's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Haller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Clinton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Pearl, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-2 record this season.
Clinton will head out on the road to face off against Puckett at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Puckett's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Clinton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
