Basketball Recap: Lake Clifton Lakers vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
Lake Clifton was the 72-32 winner over Roosevelt when they last played one another back in January of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake Clifton Lakers lost 80-57 to the Roosevelt Roughriders on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 196th in Maryland, while the Roughriders are ranked sixth in District of Columbia).
Sean Hall was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points and five steals for Roosevelt. Hall has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. De'Marean Frazier was another key player, putting up ten points along with six assists and five steals.
Lake Clifton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
