Recap: Taylor Titans vs. Western Panthers
The Taylor Titans waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They took down Western 53-36. This was payback for Taylor, who suffered a 44-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Taylor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javionne Harris out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Harris is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Binnion, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Western, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will take on Lewis Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Western, they will head out on the road to challenge Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Maconaquah's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
