Baseball Game Preview: South Central Rebels vs. North Harrison Cougars

South Central is 0-7 against North Harrison since May of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rebels will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. South Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, South Central turned things around against Henryville on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hornets, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since April 8th.

Camden Kiper made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Clinton Fouts, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, North Harrison suffered their closest defeat since April 14th on Saturday. They fell just short of Northeast Dubois by a score of 5-3.

North Harrison now has a losing record of 10-11. As for South Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
