Baseball Preview: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Wolfson Wolfpack
First Coast is 6-1 against Wolfson since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The First Coast Buccaneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolfson Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. First Coast hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.
In their second game on Saturday, First Coast suffered a rough 8-2 defeat at the hands of Lincoln.
First Coast saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Carns, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Wolfson scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Paxon School For Advanced Studies as Wolfson made off with a 13-3 win. The victory was just what Wolfson needed coming off of a 12-1 loss in their prior matchup.
Dakota Dickk looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned run off one hit.
On the hitting side, Wolfson got a big performance out of Cooper Rowell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Kicklighter, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
First Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Wolfson, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.
