Preview: IDEA North Mission vs. Idea Academy Titans

IDEA North Mission will be playing at home against the Idea Academy Titans at 6:00 p.m. IDEA North Mission comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Two weeks ago, IDEA North Mission lost to IDEA Quest College Prep at home by a decisive 45-28 margin.
Meanwhile, Idea Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 47-4 victory over Vanguard Academy Beethoven. With Idea Academy ahead 28-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Layla Perez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 steals. Perez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliza Lopez, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
IDEA North Mission bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Idea Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
IDEA North Mission was taken down by Idea Academy 68-11 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point IDEA North Mission was down 33-5.
