It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palm Harbor University can now relate to. They took a hard 41-24 fall against the Chiles Timberwolves on Thursday. The Hurricanes' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Palm Harbor University lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Grahm Pitcock, who picked up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Ford, who threw for 244 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 49 yards. Ford's passing game has become a key predictor of the Timberwolves' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise. Gerald Clark was another key rusher, rushing for 132 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.

Palm Harbor University's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Chiles, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.
