Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Beats Greater Miami Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

Franklin Academy won the last time they faced Greater Miami Academy and Sofia Hernandez did her part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors on Monday thanks in part to Hernandez, who had 28 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 20 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Franklin Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

The victory (which was Franklin Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 10-3. As for Greater Miami Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Franklin Academy will challenge Don Soffer Aventura at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greater Miami Academy, they will take on Westwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
