            Softball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Eagles vs. Francis Parker Lancers        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Santa Fe Christian, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Francis Parker Lancers  an   11-0 shutout  on Thursday. That looming  11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this  season.
 Kayla Emond and  Torin Bennett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Emond   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. Meanwhile,  Bennett   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. That  hit marked the first that  she  allowed this season. At bat,  Emond  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Bennett  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Emond has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Hannah Muscat was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddie Binnie, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Santa Fe Christian  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in three consecutive  matchups.

The  win  got Santa Fe Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Francis Parker,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Looking ahead, Santa Fe Christian will take on Coastal Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Francis Parker, they will challenge Chula Vista Learning Community Charter at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33  runs per game on average), something Francis Parker will no doubt try to take advantage of.
