Blackhawk had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Elizabeth Forward Warriors get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Give the Cougars' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

The result came thanks to Kylie Prisuta's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Blackhawk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynn Hysong, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Blackhawk is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Elizabeth Forward, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

As of now, neither Blackhawk nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
