Soccer Recap: Munford Takes a Loss

After flying high against Anniston last Thursday, Munford came back down to earth. The Munford Lions lost 10-0 to the White Plains Wildcats on Friday. The Lions have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Munford's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for White Plains, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Munford wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 10-3 win against Anniston on the 18th. White Plains will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Weaver at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th.
