Soccer Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

After flying high against Corpus Christi Moody last Tuesday, Carroll came back down to earth. The Carroll Tigers fell just short of the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Carroll has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. The win (which was Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Coincidentally, Carroll and Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will both be playing Miller the next time they take the pitch. Carroll will host Miller at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
