Basketball Game Preview: Shenandoah Raiders vs. Randolph Southern Rebels

The Shenandoah Raiders will challenge the Randolph Southern Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shenandoah is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lapel just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 67-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Loss or not, Shenandoah got some senior leadership from Kim Farmer and Haley Hughes. Farmer posted 15 points and five boards, while Hughes earned eight points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reid Helman, who scored four points.

Meanwhile, Randolph Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 44-22 to Union County.

Randolph Southern's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Shenandoah, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Shenandoah didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Randolph Southern when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory.
