East Bay won the last time they faced Lennard and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians blew past the Longhorns 18-2. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Jensen Nelson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Nelson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Molly Johnson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chandler Parker, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
East Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
East Bay's record now sits at 7-8. As for Lennard, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.
East Bay wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against Newsome on the 1st. As for Lennard, they will challenge Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th.
