Baseball Recap: San Fernando Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when San Fernando duked it out with Kennedy on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Ramon Amezcua made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Carlos, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

With the defeat, San Fernando broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9. As for Kennedy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.

Coming up, San Fernando will welcome Marshall at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will head out to face off against Sierra Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
