Softball Recap: Columbus Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prairie View, Columbus was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Pittsburg Dragons. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Hailey Ediger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Torey Tedlock was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brylie Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Columbus now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pittsburg, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Looking ahead, Pittsburg will challenge Blue Valley West at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbus will be paying especially close attention to the Dragons' matchup: after the Dragons face off against the Jaguars, they'll take on Columbus again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
