Soccer Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

After flying high against Preston last Thursday, Bridgeport came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Lincoln Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Bridgeport couldn't quite close it out.

Ally Day and Maria Day scored both of Bridgeport's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Bridgeport now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Bridgeport has already played their next game, a 4-2 win against North Marion on the 18th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Charleston Catholic on the 19th.
