Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alyssa Smith and Emma Schwappach Lead Petaluma to Victory

Petaluma had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Casa Grande Gauchos with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Petaluma won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 26-24.

Petaluma was led to victory by Emma Schwappach and Alyssa Smith. Schwappach had 12 digs and three assists, while Smith had ten assists and three digs.

Petaluma's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Casa Grande, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Petaluma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Justin-Siena on the 18th. As for Casa Grande, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Vintage on the 18th.
