Football Game Recap: Trinity vs. Del Norte

After having lost a blowout in their last-week game, Del Norte were happy to find some success on Friday. They blew past Trinity 48-20. Followers of Del Norte probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.

Del Norte's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 41 points in the first half. Trinity countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 41-6 going into the half. Although Del Norte wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The victory bumped their record up to 6-1. Trinity are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.

Del Norte will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Fortuna in two weeks at 7:30 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Trinity, they will face off against East Nicolaus. Trinity stagger into the contest hobbled by five consecutive losses while East Nicolaus skip in buoyed by five consecutive wins.
