Football Recap: St. Patrick's Academy Takes a Loss

St. Patrick's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 57-14 loss at the hands of the North Toole County Refiners. While losing is never fun, the Wolfhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Refiners are ranked fourth).

St. Patrick's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Toole County, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Patrick's Academy will venture away from home to square off against Highwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolfhounds will be up against the Mountaineers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Toole County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Big Sandy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Refiners will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
