Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Eagles vs. Oaks Mighty Oaks

The Trinity Christian Eagles will square off against the Oaks Mighty Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Trinity Christian earned a 52-43 win over Southern Christian. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Patriots are ranked 367th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Oaks made off with a 64-63 victory over Hooper Academy.

Oaks' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Trinity Christian couldn't quite get it done against Oaks in their previous matchup on January 6th as they fell 53-44. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
