Basketball Recap: Dixie Takes a Loss

Dixie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madison Mohawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 49-36 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Dixie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Dixie will head out to face off against Twin Valley South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will host Valley View at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
