Football Recap: KIPP Columbus Takes a Loss

KIPP Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Dawson-Bryant Hornets on the road by a 40-26 margin.

Kaden Murphy produced another solid performance rushing for 228 yards and four scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry for Dawson-Bryant. Murphy showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 68 yards.

KIPP Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Dawson-Bryant, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. KIPP Columbus will challenge Worthington Kilbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dawson-Bryant, they will welcome South Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
