Baseball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pioneer can now relate to. They fell 9-4 to the Tri-County Cavaliers on Saturday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Eli Guffey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Dawson Eggers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Tri-County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Pioneer nor Tri-County have any future games scheduled.
