Basketball Recap: Dadeville Tigers vs. Central of Coosa County Cougars

Dadeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 44-30 to the Central of Coosa County Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-19 back in December of 2024.

Central of Coosa County found their leader in sophomore Queen Ballard, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 31 rebounds. The match was Ballard's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Destini Kelley, who posted ten points and four steals.

Dadeville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Central of Coosa County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dadeville Tigers take on the Beulah Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dadeville is facing Beulah at the right time seeing as Beulah is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Central of Coosa County, they will venture away from home to challenge Childersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
