Football Recap: Clint Lions vs. Riverside Rangers
Clint was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Riverside Rangers, falling 59-35. The Lions lost against the Rangers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 24-23 score last time.
Clint's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Quezada, who rushed for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Contreras, who rushed for 74 yards and one score.

Carlos Rojas III was nothing short of spectacular for Riverside: he rushed for 359 yards and five TDs while picking up 19.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 104 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns Rojas III has posted since back in October of 2024.
Clint's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Clint wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-14 win against Bowie on the 19th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-13 victory against Irvin on the 20th.
