Recap: Hartselle Tigers vs. Center Point Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hartselle Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Center Point by a score of 28-18. Winning may never get old, but Hartselle sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Ri Fletcher, who gained 119 total yards and a touchdown. Jace Preuitt made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Center Point's loss came despite strong showings from Therman Deon moore and Mekhi Brown. Deon moore rushed for 101 yards, while Brown picked up 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Brown was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 65 yards.
Hartselle's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Center Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Hartselle will face off against Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gadsden City's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five games. Center Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
