Eastland won the last time they faced Ashton-Franklin Center and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Eastland was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-9.

Trixie Carroll paced Eastland's offense, picking up ten kills. Carroll got some help from Keara Kaus and her 15 assists. Morgan McCullough controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eastland's record is now 20-8. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Coming up, Eastland will be taking part in a tournament against Newman Central Catholic at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ashton-Franklin Center will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' contest: after the Cougars face off against the Comets, they'll take on Ashton-Franklin Center again at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
