Basketball Game Preview: South Caldwell Spartans vs. Freedom Patriots

The South Caldwell Spartans will take on the Freedom Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in South Caldwell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

South Caldwell is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Watauga just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 80-61 bruising from the Pioneers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Freedom, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hibriten 82-44. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Freedom pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.0 points per game. As for South Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
