Basketball Game Preview: St. John Tigers vs. Chase Kats

The St. John Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Chase Kats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, St. John strolled past LaCrosse with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Chase came into Tuesday's match having lost 32 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Burrton on Tuesday as Chase made off with a 66-44 victory. The Kats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

St. John has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Chase, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-14.

Everything came up roses for St. John against Chase in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 69-15 victory. In that game, St. John amassed a halftime lead of 35-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
