Recap: Twin Loup Wolves vs. Hitchcock County Falcons
The Twin Loup Wolves''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Hitchcock County by a score of 40-28.
Quincey Ryker had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 313 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 45 yards and a touchdown on only four passes. Ryker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Twin Loup's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Waylon McBride and his four sacks.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Kisker, who picked up 58 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jack Baker, who threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes.
Twin Loup is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Hitchcock County, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Twin Loup will head out on the road to face off against Dundy County-Stratton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dundy County-Stratton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Hitchcock County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
