Volleyball Recap: Madison's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Madison lost against Davenport back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mavericks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Mavericks were not able to get on the board.

Deylen Mendivil paced Madison's offense, picking up seven kills. Mendivil got some help from Kyleigh Shaw and her five assists. Finally, Eva Hernandez kept Madison's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Davenport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylie Dahl, who had 12 assists and two aces.

Madison moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Davenport, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Madison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Brennan on the 16th. As for Davenport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Johnson on the 16th.
