Volleyball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Neuse Christian Academy was the 3-0 winner over North Hills Christian when they last played one another back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Eagles on Saturday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Neuse Christian Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16.

Reagan Johnson paced Neuse Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Johnson got some help from Evonna Brown and her 17 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Neuse Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Hills Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Neuse Christian Academy will face off against St. Thomas More Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hills Christian, they will square off against Salem Christian School at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
